Marketing Sponsor Block - Search (Phase 2)
October 26th, 2026
Feature Release
- Related Keywords
- Overview: As a customer types in the search box, the suggestion dropdown now shows related keywords generated by the system.
- How it works:
- Generated automatically from search history and existing product names. For example, typing "nho" can suggest "nho xanh không hạt" or "nho khô".
- Only keywords that return results are shown. Customers are never led to an empty results page.
- Manual mappings still take priority. If an admin has set up related keywords for a term in Foxtrot (Search Config), those are shown instead of the automated ones. This lets campaign keywords keep priority.
- To promote specific keywords for a campaign, keep using the manual mapping in Search Config, which overrides the automated list.
- Highlighted Brand
- Overview: A sponsored brand card now appears at the top of the search results when a customer searches for a keyword set up for that brand.
- How it works:
- The card shows the brand logo, a “Sponsored” label, the brand name and a call-to-action button (for example “Visit Shop”) that opens a destination chosen by the admin.
- Only 1 Highlighted Brand can show at a time. It stays at the top of the results regardless of the sort option (Sales, Newest, Price).
- If the brand has no logo in Foxtrot, a placeholder thumbnail is shown.
- Hero Brand SKU
- Overview: A row of up to 4 sponsored products appears at the top of the search results for the same trigger keywords, so customers can add them to cart straight from search.
- How it works:
- Each card shows a grey “Sponsored” label, the product image, name, price, sale price and Sale badge (if on sale) and the ADD button.
- SKUs show in the order set by the admin and can come from any brand.
- Out-of-stock handling is per store. A SKU that is out of stock at the customer’s store is hidden and the others still show. If all SKUs are out of stock at that store, the whole block is hidden.
- Campaign badges and countdown timers are not shown on these cards.
- How to set up (Foxtrot)
- Go to Pages and create a new page with the type Search Sponsored Result Page.
- Fill in the page details: Name, Status (Enabled/Disabled) and Start/End date.
- Add Trigger Keywords (1 to 20) and choose the Match type:
- Exact Match: triggers only when the customer types the keyword exactly (for example “shampoo” does not trigger on “baby shampoo”).
- Contains Match: triggers when the search contains the keyword (for example “shampoo”, “baby shampoo” and “shampoo clear” all trigger). Avoid very short keywords such as a single letter, because they trigger on many searches.
- In Content Builder, add Highlighted Brand (select the brand and set the button link and optional button text), Hero Brand SKU (search and add 1 to 4 SKUs, drag to reorder), or both. A page needs at least one.
- If more than one active page matches the same keyword, the page with the later start date is shown.
- If no active page matches the search, the search results page looks exactly as it does today.
