Product Icon Configs

Overview

The Product Icon Configs feature allows users to customize the display of key product attributes, including fulfillment method and any factions tagged to the product, on the PDP and PLE. Both configurations are optional and can be used together or separately. This feature is available on Web, iOS and Android.

Foxtrot Configuration

To set up product icon configs, navigate to the Product Icon Configs page in Foxtrot

This config does not control the fulfillment methods or factions tagged to each product. It will only display the customizations on products with those existing attributes.

  • If products need to be tagged to factions, that can be done via the enrichment file or manually on the Product page in Foxtrot.
  • If new factions need to be added, that can be done via the Tags page in Foxtrot.

Fulfillment Method

Displaying the fulfillment method enables users to visually indicate how a product will be fulfilled (e.g., standard or express delivery).

The fulfillment method will display on each item based on its fulfiller variant location method and the user's location. If an item is dual-fulfillment (standard delivery in one zip code, but express in another), that will reflect automatically.

Steps

  1. Determine if you would like to display the fulfillment method on PDP and/or PLE.
    1. Select PDP if you want to display fulfillment method on each PDP. If not selected, this will not appear.
    2. Select PLE if you want to display fulfillment method on each PLE. If not selected, this will not appear.
  2. Populate both the Standard/Carrier and Express/Local sections in the config.
    1. The configurations for Standard/Carrier will display on all standard delivery items.
      1. Standard/Carrier Delivery Icon: Upload an 18x18 icon that represents standard delivery. This icon will appear next to the title. This is required.
      2. Standard/Carrier Delivery Title: Title that will appear for standard delivery. This is required and has a 30 character limit.
      3. Standard/Carrier Delivery Subcopy (PDP Only): Subcopy that will display underneath the title on PDP Only. This can be used to further explain standard delivery. This is optional.
      4. Standard/Carrier Delivery Tooltip:Tooltip copy that can be used to further explain standard delivery. This is optional.
    2. The configurations for Express/Local will display on all express delivery items.
      1. Express/Local Delivery Icon: Upload an 18x18 icon that represents express delivery. This icon will appear next to the title. This is required.
      2. Express/Local Delivery Title: Title that will appear for express delivery. This is required and has a 30 character limit.
      3. Express/Local Delivery Subcopy (PDP Only): Subcopy that will display underneath the title on PDP Only. This can be used to further explain express delivery. This is optional.
      4. Express/Local Delivery Tooltip:Tooltip copy that can be used to further explain express delivery. This is optional.

Faction Tags

Displaying faction tags allows users to visually highlight select product attributes on relevant items.

Faction tags will appear only on applicable items that have the faction tagged to them. Products can be tagged to factions through the enrichment file or manually on the Product page in Foxtrot.

Examples of Factions are below:

  • Temperature Sensitivity is tagged using is_chilledor is_frozen from enrichment file
  • Is Perishable is tagged using is_perishable from enrichment file
  • Fresh Food is tagged using is_fresh_food from enrichment file
  • Dry Good is tagged using is_dry_good from enrichment file
  • Non Halal is tagged using non_halal from enrichment file.

If a new faction needs to be added, that can be done via the Tags page in Foxtrot. If you add a new faction, products will need to be manually tagged in Foxtrot. There is no bulk upload to factions at this time outside of the enrichment file fields.

Steps

  1. Determine if you would like to display any faction tags on the PDP and/or PLE.
    1. Select PDP if you want to display faction tags on applicable PDPs. If not selected, this will not appear.
    2. Select PLE if you want to display faction tags on applicable PLEs. If not selected, this will not appear.
  2. Select 'Add Faction Tag'. You will be able to add a maximum of 3 total.
  3. Populate all fields in the config for each faction tag:
    1. Faction Tag Dropdown:Select the faction that you want to configure. Dropdown list will include all created factions for your organization.
    2. Icon (18x18): Upload an 18x18 icon that represents the faction. This icon will appear next to the title. This is required.
    3. Title: Title that will appear for the faction. This is required and has a 30 character limit.
    4. Tooltip:Tooltip copy that can be used to further explain the faction. This is optional.
  4. Continue adding until you reach a maximum of 3, or remove a faction tag by pressing the X on the top right.
